Karmay Gorley

Trauma-Informed Circle Facilitator, Culture Consultant & Executive Coach

Noticing a lack of spaces for intentional gathering, meaningful conversations, and forging deep connections, Karmay was moved to reimagine the ways we relate with one another. She started Gloetry in 2018 with a mission to make social change and impact culture using the powerful instrument of circle work.

Over the last 5 years, DEI Practitioners at Independent Schools to Program Managers at Charter Schools, have depended upon Karmay to provide safe, non-judgmental spaces for their BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) students and staff to experience deeper connections with themselves and heal in community.

Gloetry has since evolved from its roots, and now supports courageous individuals and visionary organizations who are ready to heal from the inside-out, in order to embody a paradigm rooted in peace, compassion and safety. Gloetry is committed to curating environments, within our schools and workspaces, that contribute to our individual and collective well-being and sustainability.

Drawing on her experience as a woman of color, sales manager, entrepreneur, reiki practitioner, youth mentor, and healing circle facilitator, Karmay designed a unique & holistic circle process that has created powerful and transformative experiences for young people and adults alike. Her vision is part of a much larger purpose to return circle practice and indigenous philosophy to our communities, structures and systems in order to preserve and revive what is sacred on earth, relationships.

In her free time, Karmay is traveling, resting, journaling, spending time with friends and family, and also having fun!

Karmay is a Black woman with a big smile. She wears her hair in long braids and looks confidently at the camera. She sits in a relaxed pose on a couch with her legs crossed.
